100 Years of FIFA
Football is a game the whole world enjoys playing and watching. It brings people and nations closer together. On 21 May 1904, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) was founded with the objective of organising championship matches between professional teams of different nations. As FIFA will be turning 100 in 2004, this set of unique stamps commemorates this special event with designs featuring familiar sport "objects" such as the football field, the jersey, the soccer ball as well as a world map to symbolise a world bound by the universal game of football.
